The results of Rolling Hills Bluegrass Battles Hunger are in, and the event proved a success once again in 2015. With a $4,000 contribution to Second Harvest Community Food Bank, the organization was successful in hosting a well-attended event that brought together great music and an even better cause.
In addition to the $4,000 donation, attendees of the event brought in 826 pounds of food which was also donated to Second Harvest Community Food Bank. In the six years the event has now been held in St. Joseph, over 4,800 pounds of food and $11,500 have been donated to the food bank.
The event was made possible through the support and sponsorship of 45 local businesses. Rolling Hills Auto Plaza was proud to be the event’s presenting sponsor.
Bluegrass Battles Hunger is set to return to St. Joseph again next year. The event is scheduled for September 23th and 24th, 2016. Stay tuned for more information.
